Final Project
Proposal for Final Project:
After looking at different examples and designs, i decided to slove the existing problem for Florist Shop logo which is lack effective to express their purpose and brand identity. After cosultation with Mr Vinod, he approve my idea and advice me to choose an exsting logo and work on that, also, for the typeface design, i need to design Capital letters for all the alphabets.
Design Progress:
After looking at differnt examples and typeface, i decided to use futrura std, a sans-serif typeface for my design since it will maintain the readability well after implemented the graphical elements in the typeface.Fig 1.1 Futura Std TTF |

At first, i try different colour of texture and uses differnt colour of flower on the design but it was not consistent in terms on design. Hence, I started to look for better graphical elements that can be uses in the typeaface design which can also maintain the consistency of it.

After few attempts of applying different graphical elements on the alphabet, i decided to chooose a consistent colour and design for the floral elements. Morever, to fit the colour scheme for my grapical elements, i adjust and come out with different colour to test for the wood texture on my alphabets.Observations
Week 11
Looking at differnt examples might be helpful in our cognitive process of developing idea, we must always look for inspiration which can provide us a guideline to produce an applicable design for our selected topic.Week 12
Looking for suitable typeface that works well with my idea was not easy, since it is necessary to maintain the balance for the mixture of the alphabet and graphic elements. Also, the texture of the alphabet do play an important role to determine the visual appearance of the designed typeface.Week 13
Compare to the previous attempts, applying consistent graphical elements will maintain the consistency of the design for alphabets, a lighther colour of texture works better with the graphical elements.Findings

For our final project, we need to look for idea and inspiration that is relavant to either designing typeface or problem solving of typography. This book have given me a clearer picture of typeface design in various of creative way by providing works and examples from different intelligent designers. Morover, it is quite helpful in terms of evolve different typographic characters or styles, or perhaps even your specific design signature. What this book is not is a tutorial in typographic basics such as kerning, spacing, selecting, and so on. Besides, there are many excellent existing volumes that will give you that essential knowledge.
